Harley Davidson V-Rod

We have been debating the virtues of a Harley for years and being die-hard Japanese crotch-rocket fans (sportsbikes) we never really knew what to make of them.
The guys in New York have several of them hanging around the place, but somehow over there that's almost a requirement.
Anyhows, we've finally taken the plunge and got ourselves a V-Rod. This bike is a radical departure for Harley Davidson. For a start the engine is water cooled and was developed in conjuction with Porsche (!) Far from the big old lazy slugger of yore, this baby puts out 115 bhp and spins sweetly to 9,000 rpm, giving a top speed of 140 mph if your arms will hold out!
Not only that she actually handles and stops thanks to the low slung stance, excellence suspension set up and twin 292 mm disks up front.
Don't worry though, if you have never ridden a Harley before, out on the road it is still a real event. Sitting back with your feet splayed out in front, surfing a wave of torque like Dennis Hopper in Easy Rider is something that will stay with you long after all of your memories the R1s, Fireblades and GSXRs merge into one! Also, it is by far the most comfortable bike for a pillion we have ever been on, don't believe us, ask Eileen our 83 year old member!
Special conditions: Riders must be 30 or over or from 25 with at least two years full bike licence. CDW does not apply to motorcycles, please enquire about excess levels at time of booking as these may vary from time to time. All bikes have alarm systems and ‘sold secure’ approved chains will be provided and must be used to fasten bikes to grounded objects – ie. railings etc. Riders must provide their own clothing and helmets.
